Working with ERIC Distribution, the Manufacturing Suite automates the product engineering, planning, and production aspects of the business. ERIC Manufacturing systematizes and integrates the manufacturing cycle from the bill of materials and operation routing; production, material requirements and machine capacity planning; to actual efficiency and production.

Capacity Requirements Planning

 The Capacity Requirements Planning module allows the production department to detect bottlenecks before they occur. It tells management to reschedule existing and planned manufacturing orders or make adjustments to available resources in order to meet production commitments.

Maintenance Management System

 ERIC MMS addresses the range of equipment and asset maintenance activities- from machine and component part information to preventive/predictive maintenance scheduling. Planning and ordering for services and parts is also automated by the system, taking into consideration order and deployment lead times. 

With ERIC MMS, critical machinery and manufacturing resources need not be subject to unplanned downtime or costly rush purchases and service job orders.

Master Production and Scheduling

ERIC MPS interfaces with the Order Entry and Billing and Inventory Management modules to give you a realistic master production schedule that meets customer demand while optimizing inventory of finished goods. User-entered forecasts expand the parameters, allowing for long range planning. The system's enterprise-aware logic allows you to respond immediately to changes in the supply chain. The ERIC MPS Manufacturing Order ( M.O.) extract feature transforms planned MOs to real. This effectively minimizes clerical effort and mistakes.

Material Requirements Planning

 The ERIC Material Requirements Planning module makes possible full availability of component materials for finished good while maintaining low levels of inventory. MRP considers total confirmed demand and interfaces with Product Engineering and Costing to explode finished goods to component requirements. The system's enterprise-aware logic allows you to react and respond immediately to changes in the supply chain. The ERIC MRP Purchase Requisition extract feature transforms recommended Purchasing Requisition extract feature transforms recommended Purchase Requisition (PR's) to real. This effectively minimizes clerical effort and mistakes. 

 

Product Engineering and Costing

The ERIC Product Engineering & Costing module is the main repository of manufacturing information. PEC holds the Bill of Materials where item components and proportions are maintained. Work centers are defined in the PEC's Work Center Master, while manufacturing process for specific goods are maintained in Product Routing. A flexible cost roll-up facility allows for easy determination of item cost. ERIC PEC is essential to the operation of the ERIC Material Requirements Planning and Shop Floor modules.

  

Shop Floor Control

 The Shop Floor Control module provides the production department with detailed up-to-date information concerning the status of work-in-process jobs. It also gives the cost accounting department with job cost figures to assess production performance. The system measures labor and machine efficiency, reports quality control statistics and informs management of production problems as they occur.
